Almost all Scottish addresses can be found using the search. There are occasionally exceptions, but these are very rare.
If you are having difficulty finding your address, try the following tips.
Be careful with your spelling, incorrect spelling might result in your address not being found.
There is a large variation in the way that flat numbers are recorded. For example, if you are looking for Flat G1 and it doesn’t list, this may be because the flat is listed as G1 or Flat A in the search results.
The search also works on partial address information. Try entering the house name and number followed by the postcode eg. “88 G40 1HD”. Wait until a list of addresses to choose from appears.
If your address is not shown on the list or “no result found” is shown, add your street name between your house name or number and your postcode eg. “88 Main Street G40 1HD”.
If you still can’t find your address, as a last resort, click the “still can’t find your address?” button and fill in your address manually. This will possibly delay the processing of your request. Please ensure that you record your FULL address including town and postcode.
